North Down Museum Audio Tour
Oli has produced and installed a new exciting indoor digital visitor experience at North Down Museum in County Down. Visitors now have the added benefit of hiring a Pick Up™device, a sleek and state-of-the-art handheld audio handset, to guide their way round the museum, listening and being captivated by the audio tour which lasts around 45 minutes.
The North Down Museum audio tour was fully researched, scripted, recorded and produced by Oli’s in-house team of experts, developed to perfectly complement the new visitor interpretation in the museum. The audio tour has twelve points in total and covers the ten rooms within the museum. If visitors are on tight timescales, they are able to pick and choose which points to listen to.
With almost an hour of fascinating audio content, visitors will enjoy a heightened experience when they visit the museum. They will leave having savoured excerpts from some of the most famous of works of songwriter Percy French and having learned more about the many exhibits, including the incredible Brendan Jamison sugar cube sculpture.
As part of our end-to-end service, alongside researching, recording and producing the audio content, we also designed and installed each of the branded audio point plaques throughout the museum that deliver the audio content to the PickUp™ devices. Oli also ensured that staff were adequately trained on the product so they can expertly advise and guide visitors to the museum on how to get the very best from the simple-to-use devices.
