Digital DNA Event Success
By Felicity McNeice on 10th November 2014
The team at Oli were delighted to be invited by Gareth Quinn of Digital DNA Northern Ireland to co-host the successful Digital DNA NI #TourismMatters event. The event was held on 7th November in the Crumlin Road Gaol. It focused on the tourism industry and the importance of having a digital presence to develop business and keep up with the major industry leaders.
The event was a sell-out success with over 100 attendees, with a number of high profile speakers including Martin Craigs of PATA, Ivy Chee Regional Director of East Asia PATA, James Hanna from Oli, Peter Parkorr of Travel Unmasked and Colm Hanratty of Six Two Digital.
The event focused on sharing knowledge and expertise with the tourism industry. The speakers openly and honestly shared practical, relevant and up-to-date innovative solutions on how the tourism industry in Northern Ireland can and needs to make the most of opportunities. Together, we traded visions and aspirations and started many conversations about how to work in partnership to make us leaders in the tourism industry, not just in Northern Ireland but internationally.
The event attracted much positive feedback, as well as some development recommendations which were very welcome, so we really hope to return bigger and better next year building on all our learnings from our 2014 event. Keep an eye on the Digital DNA website to find out more and to see the exciting developments for 2015.
