North East Digital Champion Programme Update
By Felicity McNeice on 30th March 2015
We thought we’d give you a quick update on how things are going with the North East Digital Champion Programme that we’re delivering across the North East region.
We’ve now delivered seven digital focused workshops around the area, with almost 200 forward-looking businesses coming along to find out more about how they can make them most of online platforms, to raise awareness of their business, and increase sales and revenue.
The workshop sessions are followed by free one-to-one bespoke mentoring, and over 20 of these individual sessions have now taken place. It’s been so exciting and rewarding to work with businesses who may be feeling demotivated and unclear about their commercial path, and help them to raise their game and really do justice to their business. We’ve met really great people and had some brilliant people:
Throughout the programme we have seen first hand the demand there is for digital learning and the help that is required by many small businesses who are branching into the digital sphere. The programme has been a great success to date and it is inspiring to see so many businesses within Northern Ireland taking advantage of the digital opportunity and in turn, using this to maximize their business potential.
More mentoring sessions are still to be delivered and the final part of the programme will be the delivery of a digital opportunities strategic report for the region in June 2015.
